Coffee#1 has opened its 100th store in Banbury! The opening marks the 10th store opened in the last 12 months and the 9th new opening since it joined The Caffè Nero Group in January 2019.
Bruce Newman, Director, Coffee#1 commented: “100 stores is a fantastic milestone for us and a great achievement for everyone involved with the business. We plan to run the 100th Coffee#1 shop with the same ethos as the 99 that have preceded it, with a strong focus on our customers, great coffee and ensuring our stores are homely and welcoming. We have always run every Coffee#1 as a local community-based coffee shop where we want our customers to feel welcome and relaxed. The fact we’ve reached 100 stores shows the connection our stores and teams have with our customers.”
Gerry Ford, Founder and CEO at Caffè Nero commented: ” I’m delighted with how Coffee#1 has performed since it became part of the wider Nero group, it’s run as an independent brand to Caffè Nero and will continue to be so. It offers a great British coffee house experience where customers can come and sit in and enjoy high-quality coffee and food. There is great potential for continued growth and we expect to open a further 12 stores through 2020.”
The Banbury store boasts seating to accommodate over 100 customers and is one of the largest Coffee#1’s to date, creating 8 new jobs and featuring the new Christmas menu which is available across all 100 stores and includes the Christmas Cappuccino, Pigs under blankets and the brand’s signature mince pies.
